The Village, at Palisades Tahoe

Brief review due to the incredibly low cleaning & maintenance standards.

SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- Checkin experience was 'ok'; no complaints outside of the speed.

Underground parking is available.

Elevators can be slow~~.

ROOM (walkthrough) -- This place is visibly falling apart 😞 -- our toilet paper holder literally detached from the wall -- broken surface lights above stove, walls scuffed & in need of new paint, browning window shades, stained coffee table...

Then there's a weird mix of new/refreshed furnishings amidst the decay: polished mantle above fireplace; new leather loveseat, etc.

Extremely low cleaning standards: cigarette butt on deck, hair in blow dryer, Q-tip under bed, etc.

FWIW, it was comfortable & still felt safe despite insecure installations.

BATH -- Good shower/tub combination; clean, no rust or pink mold.

Wi-Fi -- Incredibly performant 🙌:

250-340 Mbps download

176 Mbps upload

TV -- No frills...:

Mounted 20” LG flat screen TVs of yesteryear with basic programming.

KITCHEN -- The microwave SCREAMS bloody murder when used... but otherwise the kitchen is well-stocked & perfectly functional.

LOCATION -- This ski resort (located in Olympic Valley), is perfectly positioned for breath-taking views of the Sierra Nevada range.

The area felt safe, with the perfect balance of convenience & seclusion.

RECOMMENDATION

Price: $152.50/night

Was it worth it: yes

Best part: fiber wifi

The location & view is the real win here, but much MUCH room for improvement.

If you can overlook the details, it's a nice stay.

I won't be returning.

3/5⭐️
